Harpley Discovery Trail

The Harpley Discovery Trail is part of a placemaking initiative by Lendlease Communities. It was funded by a Victorian Government grant, which we co-wrote with Lendlease Communities. Our work includes signage, an App, an education kit, a website and a brochure. Our team also worked closely with the area’s Traditional Owners, the Wadawurrung Aboriginal Corporation, as well as landscape architects, local artists and Lendlease Communities, to create an intriguing trail based on the stories of the Wadawurrung, the area’s Traditional Owners. Lendlease Communities has now taken this forward with an ongoing program of walks and talks along the trail by the Wadawurrung. SHP was contracted for Stage 2 of the project in 2023.

The Harpley Discovery Trail and App was shortlisted as a finalist for the Award for Project Innovation by the Property Council of Australia in 2018.
